Day 1 - 2: Ho Chi Minh City

Today, you will arrive at any time so we don’t have any activities planned. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

On day 2, we have tour to Cu Chi tunnels, the former Viet Cong stronghold. The time you spend there will give you an insight of the Vietnam War as well as the resourcefulness and tenacity of Vietnamese people. We come back to Sai Gon by lunch time for more exploration of the most interesting sights including the Unification Palace and War Remnants Museum.

Day 3 - 4: Mekong Delta

Arriving in Cai Be, south of Ho Chi Minh City after 3 hours bus ride, on day 3, we board our boat to cross the Upper Mekong river and do some exploration of this important water way. The life there really depends on the river. We have a chance to try the locally grown tropical fruits before continuing on to visit the cottage industries like brick kilns and roof tiles. After lunch, we use the sampans to go through small canals for bonsai gardens before stopping at our homestay. The dinner tonight will be a real treat when we’ll try the Delta specialties. We also have a little chat with Mr. Muoi, the house owner, to have more understandings of local life then drop down the mosquito nets for the night.

Getting up early to the sound of birds singing and boats running up and down the river, we have a simple breakfast then off to the famous Cai Be floating market. Here you can observe the lively selling and buying activities of river people. We get off the boat to see the household business making rice paper, fish sauce, coconut candy … We re-board our bus to get back to Ho Chi Minh City for the night.

Day 5 - 6: Da Lat

Da Lat is a famous honey moon destination. The trip from Ho Chi Minh City takes up to 9 hours with stops for lunch, tea and coffee. Tea and coffee plantations and waterfalls are ideal stops to take pictures. The weather in Da Lat is cool all year round so make sure you have some warm clothes with you.
The morning city tour on day 6 takes us to Bao Dai Summer Palace, Hang Nga crazy house and busy Da Lat market. There are many things you can do this free afternoon such as taking the cable car to visit Truc Lam Pagoda, walking around Xuan Huong Lake or riding bicycle to “Love” Valley.

Day 7 - 8: Nha Trang

Setting off early today, we take an amazing bus trip up and down the mountain for sunny beach in Nha Trang. It is 5 hours and you will never forget the breathtaking views from the window. When approaching the coast, we visit the Cham Po Nagar tower. The afternoon is free for you to check out the white sandy beach or take a taxi to Thac Ba hot spring mud bath.
The boat trip on day 8 is our clients most favourite. From our main boat, you will take the basket boat to shore and visit a fishing village, snorkel in the blue clean water, enjoy a seafood lunch and laze on one of our deck chair.

Day 9 - 11: Hoi An

Leaving Nha Trang very early in the morning, we fly to Da Nang then take an hour bus ride to Hoi An. Life in Hoi An is very quiet and peaceful. The red-roof houses, the moss growing on the walls make you have a sensation of living in the 19th century.
The afternoon of day 9 our guide will take you around to visit the main sites such as Handicraft Workshop, Chinese Assembly Hall, Japanese Covered Bridge and Tan Ky Old house. The rest of the time will be free time to make your own exploration. We usually say to our clients that Hoi An is a true shopping paradise. In your free time, you can book tour to My Son, visit Cua Dai beach, ride bicycles around the country side or most of you will have a very expensive time: "shopping".

Day 12 - 13: Hue

Departing Hoi An, we stop briefly at the majestic Marble Mountains and at famous China Beach, before crossing the dramatic Hai Van Pass to the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. The afternoon in Hue, we take a boat trip along Perfume River to visit one of the biggest and most attractive Emperor’s Tombs and the stately Thien Mu Pagoda. The most remarkable local interaction of the trip is having family dinner on the boat and enjoying the traditional music performed by the boat owner, Mr. Bi.

You will have a feeling of living like queen and king in a splendid palace when we do the morning tour to the Imperial Citadel. The red-coloured pillars and yellow roofs are witness to the resplendent time of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Day 14 - 15: Ninh Binh

We take the day train to Ninh Binh, the first capital of Vietnam set up by King Dinh Tien Hoang in the 10th century. The 10 hours trip takes you through the most magnificent rural landscape.

We spend a full day here to explore this sleepy town and its surroundings. Pedalling past spectacular limestone karsts rising sharply out of immaculate paddy fields - forming a landscape that rivals Yangshuo and Guilin in China, we cycle to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. Two ancient temples here display an assortment of royal and religious artifacts, and the hilltop tomb of Dinh Tien Hoang offers great views of the countryside.

Day 16 - 17: Ha Long

We drive to stunning Ha long Bay today before boarding our boat. A whole day is spent cruising the emerald waters, winding around dramatic limestone karsts, visiting caves, kayaking and swimming. Lunch, dinner and breakfast is included, and we stay overnight on the boat.

We arrive late afternoon in Hanoi on day 17.

Day 18 - 19: Hanoi

Starting at 8.30 am from your hotel on day 18, our guide will take your first to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday and from October to December) then the Presidential complex including Uncle Ho’ stilt house, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Ho Chi Minh museum, and the Temple of Literature.
For lunch, you can take one of our recommendations for local food. After that, you’ll go to the Museum of Ethnology and then the Ha Noi Hilton (Hoa Lo prison museum). The tour will finish at your hotel after a cyclo ride in the Old Quarter and the Water Puppet show.
Tonight, we go to a very nice restaurant for our last dinner together.

You can depart anytime on day 19 for your flight home. Please, advise us your time flight for your airport drop-off.
