We arrive in Da Nang early morning of day 6 and travel to Hoi An, 30 km from Da Nang. Hoi An is a small and quite town lying along the Thu Bon river. Centuries ago, it was a busy trading port for many merchants from all over the world. They could only get there twice a year, that’s why they decided to make Hoi An their second home. For this very reason, Hoi An has a mix of architecture and great combination of Asian and Western cultures. Make sure that you visit one of hundreds of tailors, shoemakers and souvenir shops. There is lots to do when you are in town. All the sightseeing is easy to access on foot or you can ride a bicycle around the countryside or to the beach 4 km from your hotel.

On the morning of day 10, we’ll take a private air-con mini-van to Hue. The route is supposed to be one of the best scenic routes in the world with short time stops at China beach, Hai Van pass and Lang Co beach. We arrive in Hue around lunch time.

From early 19th century to middle of the 20th century, Hue was the cultural center of Vietnam. The place observed the rise and fall of the Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal system in Vietnam. There is a wide range of pagodas, temples and the Emperor’s tomb which you can visit or simply take a boat cruise along the romantic Perfume river.
