Day 1 - 2: Hanoi

We’ll meet you at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi - flight details to be advised. Before heading into town, you can change your dollars into dong at the airport currency exchange bureau. Afterwards, we’ll transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your leisure. We’ll spend few minutes to go through our itinerary before we go to our welcome dinner.

On day 2, we’ll take the day tour of Hanoi, starting with Ho Chi Minh complex including the house on stilt and Museum. And then, we’ll visit the Temple of Literature which is regarded as the first university of Vietnam established in the year 1070. After lunch, it will be the Museum of Ethnology and an hour ride on the “cyclo” and the Water Puppet show is a great finish to our busy day.

Day 3 - 4: Ha Long Bay

After breakfast, we’ll leave the busy Hanoi behind for Ha Long bay (4 hours drive). We’ll board our private boat and head out into the bay. Lunch will be on the boat while we’re cruising through the spectacular scenery of thousands of limestone karsts and isles of various sizes and shapes. There are opportunities to visit one of its beautiful limestone caves before we drop the anchor for the night. You can swim in this World Heritage site’s emerald water or use the kayaks to go through “Luon” cave, a lagoon we can see it from the air. We’ll spend the night of day 3 on our boat. In the morning of day 4, we cruise another way back to the habour in Ha Long city where we have lunch and then bus back to Hanoi.

We arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Day 5 - 6: Hue

We take the morning flight on day 5 to Hue. Very different from Hanoi, life in this former capital of Vietnam is very quite and peaceful. In the afternoon, we’ll spend some time the Purple Forbidden city, the Nine Holy cannons to get some knowledge about the life of the Kings and Queens from years ago. With that Royal spirit, tonight we will have a Royal Banquet which were served only for royalty.

On day 6, we use the Dragon boat to go up the Perfume River to visit the famous Thien Mu pagoda where once lived a monk who burnt himself to protest the policy of the Southern Government during Vietnam War. Later on, your guide will take you to one of the Nguyen Dynasty Emperor’s tomb before we go to Duc Son pagoda for a vegetarian lunch cooked by nuns. Working as an orphanage for 30 years, the pagoda is a home for nearly 200 babies and children. The food they cook for us is so nice and you won't find it any vegetarian restaurant.

Day 7 - 8: Hoi An

After a nice brekkie, we leave Hue by about 8.30 AM. We’ll head down to Lang Co beach and then over the Hai Van pass, on to Da Nang. You’ll arrive in Hoi An in the late afternoon.

Located on the Cui river, Hoi An was known to early western merchants as the busiest trading port in South-East Asia. The town looks nearly the same as it did a century ago with a mix of architecture of Japanese, Chinese, French and Vietnamese. A strange mix but beautiful nonetheless. Don’t forget to pop into any one of the dozens of tailor shops to get them started on all your new outfits! And we’re pretty sure that our guide can give you a lot of tips and advice for your shopping. In the morning of day 8, we’ll be off for an orientation walk to see the main attractions of the town such as Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old House and Vietnam handicraft workshops with traditional music. The afternoon is free for you enjoy the fabulous Hoi An town. You can do some shopping or relax at the beach. Hoi An is a place where you can walk around and always find something new and interesting.

Day 9 - 10: Nha Trang

An hour morning flight on day 9 will take us to Nha Trang, the most popular beach city in Vietnam. Adopting the name from Cham language (Ya Trang), Nha Trang has beautiful beaches with fine and lean sand and clear ocean water with mild temperature all year round. The afternoon is free for you to laze on the beach or why don’t you try the mud bath which can give you a total refreshment and relaxation. To nearly all of our clients, the boat trip in Nha Trang bay the next day is the most enjoyable. The cruise also offers opportunities to snorkel and swim in the warm, turquoise waters of the South China Sea. Very much a resort town, Nha Trang gives you a wide range of choice for food, bars and nightlife.

Day 11 - 13: Ho Chi Minh City

Leaving Nha Trang behind, we’ll take s short flight to busy Sai Gon, the former name of Ho Chi Minh City. You will have time to refresh before we take a tour around the city including entrance to War Remnant Museum and Unification Palace. People say that Hanoi is for day life and Sai Gon is for night life because there are a lot of bars and night clubs where you can go and enjoy the night.

Starting early in the morning of day 12, we take a day trip Mekong delta which referred as the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. At My Tho, we board our private boat for a cruise to the four beautiful Islets (Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix) on the Mekong River. We’ll take rowboat trip and stop in on a local family of beekeepers who make honey from longan flowers.

Later, walk through an off-the-beaten-track village and stop at some local houses to experience the everyday life of Mekong locals, usually hidden from the outside world. Here, you'll also have a chance to try some local specialties for lunch including the “elephant ear” fish before returning to Ho Chi Minh City for an afternoon of last-minute shopping and sightseeing. Tonight we go out to a nice restaurant for our last dinner together. You can depart any time on day 13 as there is no particular plan.

Please let us know your flight details so you can take advantage of your time in Ho Chi Minh City.
