MEKONG 2 DAYS HOTEL STAY
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Can Tho (L)
Today, we start at 8.30 am at your hotel for 2 hours bus ride to My Tho, one of the main towns in Me Kong delta. Calling the “rice basket” of Vietnam, any time you come there, you always have chances to take picture of rice fields running all the way through to horizon. On arrival, we board our private boat crossing the Upper River of Me Kong to visit four islands (Dragon, Phoenix, Turtle and Unicorn). The activities include enjoying tropical fruit, listening to local traditional music, tasting honey tea, experiencing how coconut candy are grown and made. A short ride of horse cart or “xe loi” (a Vietnamese version of “Tuk tuk” without roof) will bring you to a small pier where we board sampans to lunch. After lunch, we take another boat trip back to the main habour for our bus ride back to Can Tho in the late afternoon.
Day 2: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B & L)
Cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat, we will see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice noodles making shop. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh and finish the trip at noon.
